NAIDOC Week – 5-12 July 2015

This year, RIHG member Ron Powell was a guest at the unveiling of the Eddie Gilbert Memorial Field at Wolston Park Centenary Cricket Club on 8 July. (Wolston Park is in Wacol, one of RIHG’s suburbs).
Eddie Gilbert was the Aboriginal fast bowler who dismissed the famous Don Bradman for a duck in the Sheffield Shield match between Queensland and New South Wales at the ‘Gabba in 1931.
