National Trust (Queensland) Heritage Awards, 20 August 2015

Each year, the National Trust presents awards to projects and people that demonstrate excellence in the conservation and promotion of Queensland’s historic and Indigenous cultural heritage.

This year, RIHG member Vicki Mynott received the Community Volunteer Achievement Award, a new category. The citation reads “Vicki has made a valuable contribution to the understanding of the history of the western areas of Brisbane through her extensive body of work, demonstrating her strong interest in research and her high standard of writing.”

The function was held at Old Government House, with the Governor, Paul de Jersey, who is patron of the National Trust, as the guest of honour.
