2006 Two books launched

“Richlands – early history”

Fred Clark was perhaps the first baby born in the new Richlands Estate in 1934, and so was well-placed to research and record the suburb’s beginnings.

Printing of this book was funded by Fred for RIHG. The book debuted at the History Queensland Fair on September 3, 2006.

In 2015 RIHG updated the cover and added some contemporary newspaper items.

“Pauleen – a young woman’s wartime experiences at an Officer Candidate School”

This was presented to RIHG as fully completed manuscript by our then president Dr Noel Wallis. The History Group had only to print the book.

“Pauleen” was launched 14 November in Inala Library by Mary-Lou Badeaux of the Australian-American Association. Pauleen and her two sons attended the Inala launch – and on 21 November a second launch was held in Ipswich, Pauline’s home town.
